Found this recipe yesterday. It looks yummy. I don’t particularly like the taste of almond butter out of the jar so I’ll use it for this. However, given my not so good reaction to the coconut bread I made last week, I’m going to leave it a few weeks before I make it.
So I tried this recipe. It tastes awful.
The baking soda plus the salt made it way too salty. The texture is ok – light and spongy – not like bread though.
The almond butter taste was overpowering – Unless you really like the taste of almond butter out of the pot you won’t like this recipe.
I think tweeking the recipe with another nut better and adding sweetner or cinnamon or something with a strong flavour, and using baking powder rather than soda may improve this for me. Ill post when I try it.

Basic Nut Butter Bread
1 cup nut butter (cashew, peanut or almond)
3-4 Tbsp unpasteurized honey (substitute with sweetener)
1⁄4 cup nut milk (almond, cashew or coconut)
2 tsp lemon juice or apple cider vinegar
1⁄4 cup coconut flour
1 tsp baking soda
1. Preheat oven to 300F (190C)
